Connection to Our Cause

Kickstart Self-Defense empowered 438 youth with two free empowerment self-defense sessions during the 2025-2026 school year. By partnering directly with local schools, KickStart removes barriers of cost, transportation, and scheduling, so students can access these life-changing skills during the school day. KickStart reached an additional 93 community members with personal safety skills through 9 additional trainings. By supporting Flowers to Empower and our silent auction, you enable young people to learn skills that could one day protect them.

Your Tangible Impact

Every dollar raised helps youth build confidence through situational awareness, trusting their instincts, verbal boundary setting, and practical physical skills to escape unsafe situations. $50 provides access for 7 students to receive a free training, while $210 covers an entire training session for up to 30 students. Your generosity ensures we can maintain our commitment to 100% free programming while expanding access to other youth-serving nonprofits and community groups.
