Why Your Bid Matters

On any given afternoon, the Nederland Community Library is full of life. A kid wanders in after school with a backpack and a question. A parent and toddler settle in for story time. A family checks out a pass that lets them spend a Saturday at a museum they might not otherwise be able to visit. For our mountain town, the library isn't just a building full of books. It's a place to learn, to gather, and to belong.

This year, that place needs our help. A change in how Nederland's property taxes fund the library has cut more than $18,000 from its 2027 budget, and most of that loss falls on programming: after-school activities for kids, reading programs, and the experience passes that open doors to museums, the arts, and more for local families at little or no cost.

That's where you come in. Funds raised will help close that gap, so the programs our neighbors count on can keep going strong. When you bid on a signed book, a night at the symphony, or a photo session with a local artist, you're also giving a child a reason to stay curious and a family a reason to come back.

Thank you for bidding generously and for being part of the community that keeps our library the heart of Nederland.
