The BIG Salsa Fest 2026 is more than an event.

It is a gathering of culture, music, and community.

From July 23-26 in San Antonio, we will bring together 300-400 dancers, musicians, instructors, and artists from around the world for four days of performances, workshops, and social dancing.

For many, this is their first time experiencing salsa. For others, it is where they reconnect with something that has shaped their lives.

This event is produced by RISE San Antonio, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to expand access to salsa music, dance, and Afro-Caribbean cultural traditions through programming, events, and community engagement.

But what we are building goes beyond one weekend.

Salsa is one of the most influential cultural traditions in the world. It connects people across backgrounds, languages, and generations. And yet, it often exists without the kind of support systems that other art forms have.

RISE was created to change that.

Create opportunities for instructors, performers, and musicians
Offer access to people who may not otherwise be able to participate
Expand programming rooted in culture, movement, and wellness

Sponsorship and Scholarship Model

For every $250 raised, one full participant pass can be provided to someone in our community.

Sponsors and supporters may choose to receive the benefits of their sponsorship, or convert those benefits into scholarship passes for participants, recognized in their name or company name.

This means your support does not just fund an event. It helps someone experience it.
