How the Swap works:
1. Donate your high-end, like-new, clean clothing, handbags, shoes and accessories.
2. Shop and swap for items to take home.
3. Bid on luxury silent auction items.
4. Enjoy drinks, hors d'oeuvres, door prizes and more!

If you would like to drop-off items for the Swap, please bring your items on Tuesday, May 16 or Thursday, May 18 between 9am-4pm to the offices of Williams & Connolly at 680 Maine Ave SW, Washington, DC 20024. Please notify the receptionist that the items are for the Swap for Survivors. If you are not able to drop off your item(s) at those times please bring them to the event day of.

Additionally we give recognition to Arden Staroba's curated collection that was donated for the auction. Arden Staroba was a principal actress at Wedgewood Dinner Theatre in Williamsburg, VA in the 1960s. In Washington DC, she continued acting at Arena Stage, Back Alley Theater, and other venues through the 1970s. Her sense of style, presentation, and fashion were evident in her glamorous home and wardrobe. Most of the auction items donated were purchased in the '70s and '80s.

Network for Victim Recovery of DC (NVRDC) provides free, holistic, and trauma-informed advocacy, legal and therapeutic services to survivors/victims of all types of crime regardless of income. NVRDC is unique in that our services are guided by our philosophy of survivor-defined justice, meaning that there is no "right" or "wrong" way to react to a crime - instead, we empower each survivor to define what justice means to them based on their unique experiences and goals.
