This year’s Center for Women and Children Gala is more than an elegant evening or a fundraiser—it is an invitation for our community to step into the story of hope, healing, and transformation that unfolds every day at Talbot House Ministries.

Our theme, Through the Looking Glass: Finding Home, symbolizes the remarkable journey our mothers and children experience as they move from crisis and uncertainty to safety, stability, and renewed purpose. Just as Alice stepped through the looking glass into a world of new possibilities, every family who enters our Center begins a courageous journey toward a brighter future.

The week before Thanksgiving is a meaningful time to gather as a community and reflect on gratitude. Together, we will celebrate the generosity of those who have made this ministry possible while inviting new partners to become part of the next chapter. This evening is not simply about raising funds—it is about opening hearts, building lasting relationships, and inspiring others to invest in changing lives.

Guests will enjoy an elegant dinner, meaningful fellowship, inspiring music, powerful stories of transformation, and a professionally produced mission video that brings our work to life. Through heartfelt testimonials from former residents, volunteers, and community partners, attendees will witness the real impact of compassion in action. The evening will conclude with an opportunity for guests to invest in the future of the Center, ensuring that more women and children find safety, dignity, and a place to call home.

This gala represents an opportunity not only to achieve our fundraising goal of $100,000, but also to expand our family of supporters, strengthen community partnerships, and establish the Center for Women and Children as a lasting beacon of hope throughout Polk County.
