Barkitecture Events is a one-of-a-kind design competition and community celebration where creativity meets compassion. Each year, architects, designers, engineers, and makers come together to craft custom-built pet architecture—fun, functional, and always original—all to raise money for local animal rescues and foster-based organizations.

Since launching in 2019, Barkitecture Events has grown from a small grassroots idea into one of the community's most beloved nonprofit events, raising over $180,000 (and counting!) to help pets find loving homes. Every build is auctioned off, with 100% of proceeds going directly to support local rescues.

Whether you’re here to adopt, bid on your own pet architecture, or just soak up the creativity, your presence today makes a difference. Follow us on social media to see what’s next as we continue using design to build more compassionate communities—one tail wag (or purr) at a time.
