More Than a Meal: Delivering Hope and Connection to Roseburg Seniors

Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning in Roseburg, before the morning fog clears over the Umpqua River, a dedicated group of local volunteers loads warm, nutritious lunches into the back of their cars. They aren’t just delivering food—they are delivering a lifeline.

For many of our older neighbors, veterans, and homebound seniors living across Roseburg and Winchester, Meals on Wheels is the difference between staying independent at home and feeling completely forgotten.

The Challenge Facing Our Community

Rising food costs and an increasing demand from homebound seniors mean our local resources are stretched thin.

Hunger & Malnutrition: Senior hunger is often invisible, but hundreds of local elders struggle daily with food insecurity or the inability to cook for themselves.
Isolation: Social isolation poses health risks as dangerous as chronic disease. A daily check-in ensures our seniors are safe, healthy, and remembered.
Safety: Volunteers provide a critical daily safety check. On more than one occasion, a driver’s knock has alerted emergency services to a senior who has fallen or needed immediate medical attention.

How Your Support Helps

We believe no senior in Roseburg should ever have to worry about where their next meal comes from, or go days without a friendly face. But we cannot do this without you. 100% of ticket sales stay right here in our community.
