Unbeknownst to us, several other pieces were hanging in another part of the Smiley Cafe, so we are holding a 2-week Flash Sale for anyone who may have been outbid or just missed the chance to get one of these fabulous pieces.

The auction benefits the Shanta Foundation to support our development work in Zambia and Myanmar. This second round of paintings is hanging in the upstairs foyer of Smiley Cafe in Durango, CO. We will ship the canvases to you unstretched.

Artist Statement:
I'm John Ngongo, 46 years old. I am married with seven children, and one of my late sister's daughters lives with us, too. I live in Lusaka, Zambia--my hometown. I learned painting at school from an inspirational teacher. I love painting animals the most, but I'm also inspired by other things like people, landscapes, and much more. I watch them in the wild, then go home and paint from the image in my mind.
