The California Black Women’s Health Project (CABWHP) is thrilled to announce Women Who Dared, a signature brunch and awards ceremony celebrating exceptional Black women who have dared to make an impact in their communities and beyond. CABWHP, founded as a chapter of the National Black Women’s Health Project in 1994, has a rich legacy of amplifying Black women’s voices, addressing health inequities, and creating culturally affirming spaces.

This year’s event, inspired by the work of Anna Julia Cooper, is themed “Rooted in Care and Truth: Nurturing Black Women’s Wellness” and will take place from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 18th, at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills. As the grand finale to CABWHP’s 30th-anniversary celebration, this inspiring afternoon will honor the invaluable contributions of remarkable Black women, provide a space for empowerment and connection, and reflect on three decades of transformative advocacy and service.
