Hi, my name is Tony Black, and I’ve been a resident of the Cartersville area for the past 10 years. I was born and raised in Northwest Georgia. After high school, I attended the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!). After leaving college, I started a career at Chick-fil-A, however, I realized that my true calling was to be an entrepreneur. In 2015, I launched Top Shelf Concessions, which opened in conjunction with the grand opening of Lakepoint Sports Complex. This exciting venture led me to Cartersville, where I’ve found my forever home! Cartersville has truly welcomed our family into its small-town feel, and I am proud to live here with my wife, Ashley, our two sons, Breckin and Gareth, and our sweet pups, Mando and Cersei, as well as our little cat, Sansa.
Since starting Top Shelf, I’ve also been fortunate enough to start other businesses in the community, including The Beauty NP, with my lovely wife, Ashley. I’ve always been passionate about giving back to the community, and I’m thrilled to have been blessed with this opportunity. This year marks our 4th year supporting Red Door Food Pantry, and I’m honored to have been selected as a candidate for King of this year’s Mardi Gras event. This role provides me with an even greater opportunity to raise awareness about the Red Door Food Pantry and its incredible mission to feed those suffering from food insecurity in our community.
