The ABSA Cape Epic is a multi-day stage race that puts all contenders and equipment to the ultimate test. It is considered one of the most challenging races in the world, with rugged South African terrain and strenuous back-to-back race days, attracting elite athletes worldwide.

Teams from all over the world participate in the Cape Epic, each with impressive cycling accolades. These diverse riders bring a wealth of experience and accomplishments to the competition.

For the 2025 edition, Outride joined Matt Beers and Keegan Swenson as teammates under team Outride-Toyota-Songo. Each rider raced their own sponsor equipped bikes, with Beers on a Specialized S-Works Epic 8 and Swenson on a Santa Cruz Blur. While the team experienced many challenges in this year's edition, they never gave up, determined to keep fighting, all while raising awareness for Outride and Songo. Their persistence paid off, landing them a spot on the podium on the final stage. The bikes ridden by these incredible athletes are now available for auction, with all proceeds supporting the non-profit organization Outride.

Outride is committed to empowering all people to experience the social, emotional, and cognitive benefits of cycling through research, cycling programs, and funding. Since 2014, they have helped to launch over 400 school cycling programs, awarded over $2.5 million in grants to community cycling organizations, and supported research.
