Since 1863, Bethany has been a safe haven for youth who have endured trauma. Today, Bethany works with nearly 30 counties across Pennsylvania to guide youth throughout their healing journey.

Throughout nearly 162 years, Bethany has not strayed from our mission of providing a safe place of nurture, protection, and supportive care to aid our residents in their self-understanding, growth, and healing toward a brighter, healthier future.

Youth who come to Bethany have experienced some form of trauma whether that be homelessness, physical/sexual abuse, trafficking or neglect. At Bethany we strive to give youth the resources they need to overcome and to continue to grow in their journey. Not only does Bethany offer our youth therapeutic services but we also have a designated team to plan and coordinate recreational activities for our youth like art, music, and sports.

It is essential for young minds to be active and creative for psychological development, but it also provides an outlet for our youth to express themselves in a different way.

With physical activity and sports being of our youth’s favorite hobbies, Bethany is campaigning to raise funds for a new outdoor recreational complex for our youth. The current complex was built in 1941 and is cracking and buckling. The courts are in major need of resurfacing. The new complex will include basketball, tennis, and pickleball courts for our youth to enjoy.
