About The Fundraiser

Participants can grab their friends and spend time flexing their creative muscles making candles, from the comfort of their home! There’s no experience necessary and we’ll provide all the supplies, so they don’t have to worry about a thing (except having a great time!)

Our candle making workshop uses clean ingredients. Having a great time at our workshop is definitely our objective, but providing participants with a quality experience that is free from harmful ingredients is also very important to us.
Phthalates + Parabens are harmful chemicals that affect the reproductive system and increase the risk of cancer. These ingredients are often used in fragrances that end up in candles and more.

We use phthalate + paraben free premium fragrances oils in all of the candles our participants will make with us. So all they have to worry about is having fun!

We'll focus on the following:
benefits of soy wax and why we choose it for our candles,
customizing a fragrance and some recommendations on pairing
how participants can care for their new candles and the candles they already own

About The Event

The event runs for approximately 45 minutes. During this time our facilitator will walk participants step-by-step through the craft of candle making. Feel free to ask any questions along the way. Each participant will receive a DIY Candle making Kit, which includes:

A glass vessel
Warning label
Wick
Wick holder
Wick sticker
Dried flowers
Fragrance oil
100% soy wax flakes

Please note that participants will also need the following items:

A heating source (this can be a microwave or a stovetop for a double boiler)
A microwave-safe bowl to melt the wax in
Something to use for stirring
A pot holder to protect you from hot surfaces.

Participants can choose from a list of scents.
