We’re launching our local awareness campaign #CanYouSeeMe in Shasta County with A21 across the USA. This film was produced in consultation with the U.S. Department of Justice and National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. ⠀

There is a growing concern about child sexual exploitation in U.S. schools. Minors are often recruited through social media, a friend, or a pimp posing as a boyfriend. Modern-day #slavery still exists. And if you suspect it, report it.

We are developing a project plan for Guardians for Freedom's upcoming campaign to raise awareness about human trafficking in Shasta County. Our goal is to bring the impactful “Can You See Me?” campaign by A21 to our community. This campaign has already been effectively deployed across the U.S., bringing widespread attention to the signs of human trafficking and encouraging the public to report suspicions to the National Human Trafficking Hotline.

Lamar Advertising has previously partnered with A21 to display this campaign on digital billboards in over 48 cities. Texas, for example, has been a leader in this effort, displaying more than 300 billboards across 70 cities in partnership with various state agencies and the Texas First Lady. This initiative has led to a measurable increase in hotline calls, underscoring the campaign’s reach and effectiveness.

Our vision is to replicate this approach here in Shasta County by placing high-visibility billboards and other signage in key areas to engage the public in recognizing and responding to signs of trafficking. We plan to seek grants and donations to support the campaign’s costs, ensuring a sustainable and impactful rollout.
