Care Beyond Birth Mission:

Care Beyond Birth supports postpartum women impacted by complications related to their pregnancy. We provide supportive resources to care that improves long term health.

FACTS:

On average, 70 women in Missouri died while they were pregnant or within one year after their pregnancy each year from 2018 to 2022.
82% — of these deaths occurred between 0 and 365 days postpartum, with 43% of deaths occurring after six weeks postpartum
The PAMR (Pregnancy-Associated Mortality Review) Board determined that eighty percent of pregnancy-related deaths were preventable.
Cardiovascular disease was the 2nd leading cause of these deaths, mental health was #1
