Music is an integral part of all our lives, and it is Miami Music Project's mission to ensure those who need it the most are given the opportunity to experience it, no matter the situation. This is why we created the Miami Music Project Cares Fund.

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought on a series of unprecedented challenges. Many of us can't quite grasp what our children have been going through, being pulled into a shut off world for who knows how long. This is especially difficult for those families living in Miami's under-resourced communities. In addition, Miami's working artists and music educators were dealt a financial blow, seeing much of their income and livelihood disappear as their performances were cancelled.

All of us at Miami Music Project immediately knew this was a possiblity, and hit the ground running. We shifted to a completely virtual program called Miami Music ProjectCONNECT. Through this, our services are still being provided to those who need us the most, making sure all of our students have access to the transformative power of music. In addition, we have been able to keep our Teaching Artists employed, providing them with a steady source of revenue and helping to make sure music remains a central part of Miami's culture.

Shifting all of our programming to a virtual platform, and continuing to provide the education and services to our children and families, means keeping all of our teaching artists engaged and employed. This is why we need your help.
