Our Lady of Mercy believes every senior deserves compassionate, dignified care, regardless of their financial circumstances. The Country Home, an independent and assisted living facility for senior citizens sponsored by dedicated Mercedarian Missionaries, is committed to upholding this sacred trust.

As friends of the organization, the Our Lady of Mercy Fundraising Committee is excited to share the Care with Dignity Raffle, benefitting the Sister Mary Margaret Fund. This vital fund exists in service of Our Lady of Mercy's mission, and can be a lifeline for our residents who find themselves in need of financial assistance during their stay. Your contributions will directly ensure that these beloved members of our community receive the comfort, attention, and loving support they deserve in a safe, clean environment.

CARE WITH DIGNITY RAFFLE

VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.

Sponsor: The Care with Dignity Raffle (“Raffle”) is sponsored by the Mercedarian Missionaries of Berriz, a Missouri Benevolent Corporation which is qualified as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization (“Sponsor”).

Eligibility: Participants must be a U.S. resident and at least 21 years of age at the time the raffle begins. Sponsor reserves the right to require proof of identity and age upon selection as a Winner. The Raffle is void outside the United States, or where prohibited or restricted by law.

All employees, officers, directors and agents and their immediate families or any members of their households, regardless of relationship, of Sponsor or any advertising agency or other company involved with the design, production, execution, or distribution of this Raffle are not eligible to participate in the Raffle or to win any prizes.

Any Raffle entries received from an ineligible participant will be disqualified. By participating in this Raffle, participants accept and agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final on all matters. Sponsor reserves the right to modify the rules of the Raffle in any way at any time, subject to state or federal law.

Raffle Period: The Raffle begins on September 1, 2025 at 12:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time, and ends on September 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Central Daylight Time (“Raffle Period”). All Raffle tickets must be purchased during the Raffle Period to be eligible.

Raffle Purpose: All net proceeds from the Raffle will be applied to the Sister Mary Margaret Fund, which benefits residents of Our Lady of Mercy Country Home who may need financial assistance during their stay.

How To Participate: You can participate in the Raffle by scanning the Raffle QR Code included in Raffle promotional materials or by going to https://givebutter.com/carewithdignity and purchasing a Raffle ticket. The cost of each Raffle ticket is $25. However, a bundle of 3 tickets is $60; a bundle of 5 tickets is $90; and a bundle of 10 tickets is $150. A total of 1,000 Raffle tickets will be available. There is no limit on the number of Raffle tickets that a person may purchase. At the time of purchase, you must select which of the three Prizes you are entering for a chance to win. (See Prizes below).

Lost or Spoiled Tickets: Sponsor is not responsible for lost, misdirected, late, unsent, incomplete, illegible or unintelligible attempts to purchase a Raffle ticket, whether caused by the participant or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Raffle, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the transmittal of any Raffle ticket or the processing of any function on the participant’s computer system. Participant must notify Sponsor of any changed contact information within the Raffle Period to remain eligible to win based on information used to purchase a Raffle ticket. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the purchase process or the operation of the Raffle; to be acting in violation of these rules; or to be acting with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

Prize and Selection of Winners: There are three prizes: a “KC Sports Package” consisting of four Kansas City Chiefs tickets and one parking pass for the October 27, 2025 Chiefs home game, and 4 Kansas City Royals and one parking pass for a Royals home game to be selected by Sponsor during the 2026 Royals season, with a Fair Market Value of $1,100 (“Sports Prize”); one bottle of Wild Turkey Masters Keep Triumph Whiskey, one bottle of Wild Turkey Masters Keep Unforgotten Whiskey, once bottle of Russell’s Reserve 13 Year Old Whiskey and Russell’s Reserve 15 Year Old Whiskey Limited Release 2024, with a Fair Market Value of $1,000, with a Fair Market Value of $1,075 (“Whiskey Prize”); a $150 gift card to Le Fou Frog, a $100 gift card to The Majestic, a $75 gift card to Gates Bar-B-Q, a $50 gift card to Teocali Mexican Restaurant & Cantina, and a $25 gift card to Buffalo State Pizza Co., with a combined Fair Market Value of $400 (“Restaurant Prize”) (together the “Prizes). Each Raffle participant will receive one chance to win the Prize of their choice per purchased Raffle ticket. Each Raffle ticket will have an equal opportunity to win the prize of your choice. The chances of winning depend on the number of Raffle tickets sold and the Prize selections made. Thus, if more tickets are sold, for example, for the Sports Prize than the Whiskey Prize, the chances of winning the Sports Prize would be less than the chance of winning the Whiskey Prize. No transfer, assignment, cash redemption or substitution of any prize is permitted, except by Sponsor due to prize availability and then with a prize of equal or greater value.

Selection of Winners: Winners (one for each Prize) will be selected in a random drawing on October 1, 2025 at 12:00 pm Central Daylight Time at Our Lady of Mercy County Home, 2115 Maturana Dr Liberty, MO 64068 United States. Winners need not be present to win. Sponsor will notify Winners by e-mail. Winners must respond no later than October 10, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time or the prize may be forfeited and another Raffle participant chosen by random drawing from among all remaining Raffle tickets for that Prize. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner by random drawing from among all remaining Raffle tickets for that Prize.

Release: By participating, Winner certifies that he or she complies with these Raffle Rules, and agrees to allow Sponsor, anyone acting on behalf of Sponsor, or its respective licensees, successors and assigns to, where permitted by law, without any further notice, review, or consent to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use, worldwide in any media, winner’s entry, including, without limitation, the entry and winner's name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image or statements about the Raffle, and biographical information as news, publicity or information and for trade, advertising, public relations and promotional purposes without any further compensation. sign a liability and publicity release, allowing Sponsor to use his or her information for advertising or other purposes. Failure to complete these forms may result in forfeiture of the prize.

Taxes: Winner is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state or provincial, and local taxes and any expenses associated with any prizes. Sponsor will issue IRS Form W-2G to Winner and report the prize value to the Internal Revenue Service. Winner will be required to complete and submit any paperwork deemed necessary for tax reporting purposes and to pay Sponsor all required tax withholding amount on the Prize. Winner should consult a tax advisor to ensure that he/she timely pays all applicable taxes. The cost of a Raffle ticket is not tax-deductible.

Right to Terminate: Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, terminate, or suspend this Raffle should viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond Sponsor’s control corrupt or impair the administration, security or fairness of the Raffle. Sponsor is not responsible for any human or technological error that may occur in the processing of the Raffle nor are they responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, communications line failure, theft or destruction of, unauthorized access to, delay in operation, transmission, or distribution of, or alteration of entries, whether caused by the sender, any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Raffle, or otherwise.

Applicable Law: This Raffle is governed by Missouri law.

Limitation of Liability and Dispute Resolution: By entering the Raffle, participants release any and all Sponsor and each of its affiliated companies, directors, officers, employees, representatives, partners, consultants, independent contractors and agents from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Raffle or with the acceptance, possession or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light.
