The National Center for Law and Economic Justice (NCLEJ) announces the NCLEJ Catalyst Awards: A Celebration of Changemakers, on Wednesday, December 8, from 7PM ET - 8PM ET. The event will be held online.

Honorees include:

· Corporate Catalyst Cynthia Adams, Managing Director, Legal & Compliance at Jefferies, for her commitment to social justice and outspokenness after the murder of George Floyd.

· Social Justice Catalysts Black Love Resists in the Rust (represented by Phylicia Brown, Executive Director) and community organizer Jalonda Hill for their advocacy to end racial profiling and excessive fines and fees in Buffalo.

The program will include award presentations, a tribute by artists, a short video, and a panel discussion on wealth extraction in communities of color. The panel will feature: Dennis Parker (NCLEJ Executive Director) · Maya Wiley (NBC News & MSNBC Legal Analyst and former Candidate for NYC Mayor), Deborah Archer, (Professor at NYU School of Law and President of the ACLU) and honorees Jalonda Hill and Phylicia Brown.

The fundraiser will benefit NCLEJ's courageous work to advance racial and economic justice around the country.
