Support Our Students’ Outdoor Explorations 🌱

Outdoor adventures don’t have to stop when school is on pause. This Spring Break, we’re inviting our students and their families to step outside, get curious, and connect with nature through a week-long Spring Break Challenge designed to nurture growing bodies, minds, and hearts.

Throughout the week, students can choose from a variety of activities like reading under a tree, creating their name from sticks, or hunting for every color of the rainbow using natural materials. The activities are flexible, inclusive, and fun for all ages, making it easy for families to participate together.

Just like a walk-a-thon or read-a-thon, students will collect pledges based on how many activities they complete during the week. At the end of the challenge, they’ll report back to their sponsors and collect donations. Prefer something simpler? Flat-rate donations are always welcome, too.

Why Are We Fundraising?

Mountain Sprouts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies on the strength and generosity of our community. While tuition covers a portion of our operating costs, program fees alone do not fully fund our work. Fundraising, along with grants and sponsorships, is an essential part of our diverse revenue stream. Every contribution directly supports our ability to maintain a high-quality program and to compensate our teachers with career-level wages and benefits.

Thanks to strong fundraising and sponsorship participation, we are proud to offer the highest teacher wages of any early learning program in the area. We also maintain a 1:6 teacher-to-child ratio, well below the state-required 1:10, allowing for more individualized attention and meaningful connections. Our experienced and passionate staff create exceptional learning experiences in diverse, nature-based environments that enrich your child’s early years in ways that extend beyond a traditional classroom setting.
