CEMC is a grassroots, community-powered organization working to build a more connected, inclusive, and supportive electronic music ecosystem in Chicago. An ecosystem that honors the culture’s roots while creating real pathways forward for today’s artists, DJs, educators, and creatives.

In just one year, CEMC has demonstrated what’s possible when community comes first:

350 attendees at our 2025 conference
50+ speakers, panels, and workshops featuring local and national leaders
100k+ Instagram views and 200k+ total reach across platforms
4 major press features, including Mixmag, Resident Advisor, NewCity Music, and PremierEDM Review
Hosted our first offshoot community event - a December 2025 AMA at Spybar with 100+ attendees, establishing CEMC as a year-round hub for Chicago’s dance music community

Behind this work is a 30-person volunteer team of DJs, producers, promoters, visual artists, educators, and music lovers - now supported by a newly formed 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to to the long-term sustainability and scaling of the organization.
