Spend an afternoon looking closer at the art, symbolism, and stories carved into Tampa’s historic Woodlawn Cemetery.

We’ll begin at Wave & See Creative Sanctuary with an art history and cemetery symbolism presentation before heading to historic Woodlawn Cemetery for a guided tour with Andrew Lumish, “The Good Cemeterian.” Along the way, we’ll uncover the history, monuments, symbolism, and stories held within this historic Tampa cemetery.

After the tour, we’ll shift from observation to creation. Guests will have time to explore the cemetery through an artist’s lens, collecting visual impressions through sketching, charcoal rubbings, and clay-and-ink transfer techniques.

Your $59 ticket includes:

Art history + cemetery symbolism presentation
Guided tour of Woodlawn Cemetery
Grave-art impression technique demonstrations
Dedicated time for creative exploration
Take-home Cemetery Field Kit
Mini field journal + rubbing paper
Charcoal
Clay + ink
Rose petals for leaving offerings of gratitude
