Our Community Conservatory uses a tuition-based sliding scale, making our programs accessible so every family can pay what they can afford. The return on this investment is reflected in our collective effort to nurture future leaders who can navigate the world with a broader perspective, appreciate our differences, and advocate for a more just society. This is a promise we have made to the Hartford and Greater Hartford communities.

Spectrum in Motion Dance Theater Ensemble, Inc. is a BIPOC-owned and operated nonprofit dance organization dedicated to People of Color and the American experience. Founded in 1982 by choreographer Olivia S. Ilano Davis, Spectrum in Motion has developed a uniquely American approach to dance education and performance. Its methodology draws from an integration of modern, ballet, and traditional dance forms from the Global South, blending classical and contemporary practices with organic movement, somatic principles, and body intelligence.
