In 2021, Wildcat Canyon Community School began a bold experiment: to grow as a parent- and teacher-led community school with a self-determined tuition model designed to make Waldorf education more accessible and just.

Four years later, that experiment has taken root and continues to grow. Our school has grown from 40 students to nearly 200. Our campus is lovingly tended, a number of classes have waiting lists, and the spirit of the community is one of connection, care, and shared purpose—even as we continue to strengthen the financial foundations that support this work.

As we continue to grow, we are also tending to what sustains us.

Supporting the Whole School

Our equitable tuition model is designed to prioritize accessibility and inclusion. As a result, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of educating our children or maintaining the campus that holds this work. We rely on community giving to bridge this gap and to keep the model sustainable for years to come.

This year, we are facing significant facilities needs—most notably the replacement of our roof, along with sky lights and a solar installation. These projects are essential for the safety, longevity, and health of our campus. The addition of solar also reflects our commitment to environmental responsibility and thoughtful stewardship of the land entrusted to us.
