At Montessori Chacala School (El Jardín), we believe every child deserves access to quality education. Since 2012, we’ve been serving the families of Chacala, Mexico, by offering a holistic learning experience inspired by Waldorf and Montessori education — one that sparks creativity, builds lasting relationships, and nurtures a lifelong love of learning. For the 2025–2026 school year, 80% of our students rely on scholarships to continue their education. Your generous support provides these children with the opportunities they need to grow, learn, and thrive.

One Retreat, One Student is a new initiative that invites each retreat group at Mar de Jade to come together to sponsor the full education of one local child at Montessori Chacala School.

With just $2,000 USD, a child receives a full year of tuition, books, learning materials, and daily nutritious meals. As a group, your retreat can make this gift possible—leaving a lasting legacy in the community you visited.

The Chacala Education Fund is a US-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization (EIN 99-3978697) that supports the scholarship program for Montessori Chacala School in Nayarit, Mexico. Donations to the Fund are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and 100% of contributions go to support educational needs for local children.
