What would it look like if there was a community of young adults who didn't just participate in their neighborhoods, but came together to actually solve the problems inside them? Change the Culture exists to build that. We are a community of young adults working to inspire a culture where getting involved isn't just encouraged, it's where people find real purpose and give back in ways that make the world better.

We do this by setting the example ourselves: being the solution in the most impactful way we can, taking on the problems that get overlooked, showing up, and bringing modern strategy, community, and culture to the work.

In practice, that looks like:

Impact projects: stepping in directly to build and run solutions for specific, overlooked problems in the community
Volunteer activations: mobilizing people for direct service days
Support for nonprofits: administrative and creative capacity for organizations stretched too thin to do it alone
Awareness campaigns: creative marketing and events that connect nonprofits to the people who need to know about them

What this has looked like so far:

At New Life Village, home to 170 kids who've experienced foster care trauma and have few consistent male role models, we built monthly sports mentorship camps — giving Tampa-area men a direct, ongoing way to show up for these kids. We've also run field trips and outings, including chartering a bus so a group of the kids could experience a live concert — many for the first time ever (Learn more about this program here).

With Big Brothers Big Sisters, we're running a creative marketing and event campaign aimed at chipping away at their 1,000-kid waitlist for a Big Brother or Big Sister (Click here to see it in action).

At Madi's Movement's annual Gala, we met a young man named Nehemiah, who grew up in the foster care system. He mentioned his birthday was coming up, and that like a lot of young adults raised in foster care, he had never really gotten to have a big, celebratory experience. When he shared that his dream was to go skydiving, we got to work. Within a week, we partnered with The Best Day Ever Foundation and a Sky Dive City in Zephyrhills, and turned a passing conversation at a gala into a dream come true.

We've activated over 15 volunteer initiatives across Tampa, mobilizing 100+ volunteers in support of 6 different nonprofits.

We've worked alongside Project Focus, Madi's Movement, The Best Day Ever Foundation, Little St. Nick Foundation, St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, Worth & Purpose, and more.
