Join Chaski Coach and professional athlete Chris Fisher as he takes on an ambitious human-powered endurance project across Ecuador’s highest mountains to help raise money for Chaski Foundation's athletic programs in Ecuador and Nepal.

Chris will attempt to climb all 10 of Ecuador’s 5,000-meter peaks — and connect them entirely by human power, traveling between each mountain by running and biking in one continuous, self-supported effort.

What is the project?

Ecuador is home to 10 volcanoes rising above 5,000 meters (16,400+ ft), including one over 6,000 meters (19,600 ft+). This project challenges Chris to summit all ten peaks* while linking every transition without vehicles, relying only on his own legs and determination.

The goal is to showcase endurance, resilience, and connection to place — while raising funds to support youth athletic development in Ecuador.

*Editor's Note: Peak #10, Volcan Sangay, is currently very active, spewing out lava and rocks on a regular basis, so Chris will be climbing the remaining 9 volcanoes during this project and finishing at the base of Sangay. He hopes to return to finish all 10 once Sangay calms down.

Why is Chris doing this?

Chris is a Chaski coach and professional mountain athlete who believes deeply in the power of sport to change lives. This project blends elite endurance performance with community impact, using adventure as a platform to support the next generation of athletes.
