The Story

In Mozambique, the preschool supported by Sharing Hope Africa opens its doors each day because of generosity from outside donors.

But long-term stability requires more than generosity.

It requires sustainability.

Right now, the school relies heavily on outside funding to operate. That model works — but it leaves the school vulnerable to fluctuations in donations. When support shifts, education becomes uncertain.

We believe there is a better way.

Before April 15, we are launching a pilot project designed to change the funding model.

We are building a chicken coop that will generate ongoing income through egg sales. That revenue will cover one-third of the preschool’s monthly operating expenses — month after month.

This is not a one-time gift covering one month of costs.

This is a long-term revenue stream.

More Than a Coop

This project reaches beyond the classroom.

The coop will:

Create dignified employment opportunities for local women
Provide affordable eggs within the community
Reduce costly travel to distant markets
Strengthen local economic stability

One build. Multiple layers of impact.

Education becomes more secure.
Women gain employment.
Families gain access to affordable food.

Why Now?

Construction must begin before April 15 while our team is on-site in Mozambique to oversee training and implementation.

If we miss this window, launch is delayed.

If we complete funding on time, construction begins immediately.

The plans are ready.
The community is ready.
The women who will manage the coop are ready.

Now we need to close the gap.

What Success Looks Like

When this pilot is fully operational:

33% of the preschool’s expenses are covered by local revenue
Employment is created within the community
The school becomes more financially stable
A scalable model is proven

And if the pilot succeeds, it can expand — potentially covering even more of the school’s costs in the future.
