Shirley Chisholm is a diverse, inclusive Title I DCPS elementary school serving families on Capitol Hill and the surrounding neighborhoods. Contributions from community partners help fund student musicals and arts programming, class field trips and enrichment opportunities, classroom resources, and welcoming events that bring our school community together.

Support from local businesses is particularly meaningful this year as our students and staff navigate two years in a temporary location while the school’s main building is renovated. Our goal is to preserve the programs, traditions, and opportunities that make Chisholm special while ensuring that every student can participate.

Annual partnership opportunities begin at $500 and include year-round recognition through our website, social media, family communications, and school and PTO events. Higher partnership levels include additional visibility, recognition at high-profile signature events, and tickets to our annual Art of Giving celebration. Reach out to the PTO at shirleychisholmpta@gmail.com for more details.
