Why a storage unit is essential to our work:

-Sustainability.

Having a storage unit will ensure that we don’t have to turn down furniture donations due to lack of space. Currently, we have so many furniture donations that we can’t fit anymore in our Founders or volunteers homes.

Not only will we be able to continue accepting donations but we will be able to have a variety of furniture pieces on-hand and ready when requests from families come in.

-Centralized space for volunteers

Having a storage unit closer to downtown Indy will allow our volunteers to have easier (and closer!) access to helping collect and deliver donations.

Currently, donations are stored at our Founders home and a volunteers garage until a time is coordinated with families to have donations dropped off. Having a storage unit will allow us to serve more families, in a prompt manner, and with continued excellence.

We also want to make note that running out of space does NOT mean we have a surplus of donations, but no families to serve. In fact, a handful of our current inventory is already accounted for but is simply waiting to be delivered.
