Help Bring Christmas to Children in the Peruvian Amazon

This December 18–19, 2026, we're bringing more than Christmas gifts to remote communities in the Peruvian Amazon. We're bringing joy, educational opportunities, and access to much-needed medical care.

For some children, our visiting medical brigade may provide one of their only opportunities to see a doctor during the year. Whenever resources allow, we also extend medical care to parents and other adults in the communities we serve.

Together, we can make this Christmas a celebration of generosity, compassion, and meaningful community support.

Across the Peruvian Amazon, children grow up in communities rich in culture, resilience, and natural beauty, yet often face barriers to resources and opportunities that many of us take for granted.

At Amazon King Educational Center (AKEC), we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a brighter future.

A Christmas Celebration Rooted in Community

Each year, our team and local partners work to bring communities together through our Amazon Children's Christmas Festival.

More than a holiday celebration, this event is an opportunity to deliver gifts, share meaningful experiences, strengthen community relationships, and remind children that they are not forgotten.

Our 2026 celebration will take place on December 18–19, and we invite you to help make it possible.

How Your Donation Helps

Your contribution supports much more than a Christmas celebration. It helps AKEC bring essential resources, educational opportunities, and much-needed medical attention to children and families in remote communities of the Peruvian Amazon.

Your generosity helps make possible:

Christmas Gifts and Supplies: Bringing joy and meaningful gifts to children in participating Amazonian communities.
Medical Brigade and Essential Healthcare: Supporting healthcare professionals who provide medical consultations, basic health assessments, and available treatments to children with limited access to medical services.
Healthcare for Adults: Extending medical consultations and assistance to parents and other community members whenever medical personnel, time, and resources allow.
Educational Materials and Activities: Encouraging curiosity, creativity, and learning through educational resources and engaging activities.
Community Celebrations: Bringing children, families, and volunteers together for moments of connection, encouragement, and celebration.
Transportation and Logistics: Helping our volunteers, healthcare professionals, and essential supplies reach communities that are often accessible only by river.

For many families, this event represents more than Christmas gifts. It is an opportunity to receive care, support, and a reminder that their communities have not been forgotten.

Together, we can bring Christmas joy while helping meet essential needs and supporting healthier, brighter futures for Amazonian children and families.

Why Your Support Matters

AKEC is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization working alongside partners in Peru to advance education, community health, and sustainable development.

Our Christmas celebration is one part of that larger mission: building relationships, creating opportunities, and investing in the future of Amazonian children.

Whether you contribute $25, $100, $500, or any amount meaningful to you, your generosity helps make this celebration possible.

We are committed to responsible stewardship of every contribution. Following the event, we plan to share a summary of activities, communities reached, resources distributed, and available photographs and video highlights so supporters can better understand the impact of their generosity.
