One afternoon in Los Angeles, a young girl walked into a community outreach event holding her mother's hand. She smiled shyly as she received a small hygiene and literacy kit.

Inside the kit was a washcloth, toothbrush, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, bottled water, a literacy workbook, and a handmade bar of soap with a surprise toy hidden inside.

Her eyes immediately lit up.

"What is inside the soap?" she asked excitedly.

The volunteer smiled and replied, "You'll have to wash your hands to find out."

For the first time, handwashing became something fun rather than a chore. Each day, she eagerly washed her hands, waiting to discover the treasure hidden inside. Along the way, she learned the importance of keeping germs away and taking care of her health.

Weeks later, her teacher noticed a difference.

She felt proud of herself.
