Michael Holtz's Story

A friend of mine recently remarked that “5% is everything,” after I explained that there was a 95% chance of recurrence of the stageIIIB rectal cancer I was diagnosed with 12 years ago. Eleven months of treatment left me with a permanent colostomy, neuropathy in my feet and a host of other side effects but I’m here and I’m fighting back for people I love deeply who are in the thick of treatment for colorectal cancer. For Ryan Vieth, Trevor Maxwell, Sarah Broadus. Jason Reiss, Jason Manuge, Larry Thomas, Tyler Root and so many other people, I will climb. And in memory of Gary, Michael, Pandora and Carole. Join me!
