Why we climb

The Teddy Bear Crawl Foundation, in partnership with Dealers of Hope USA and Dealers of Hope Tanzania, is raising funds to fight childhood suicide and bring hope to kids who need it most.

In the United States, we’re focusing on youth in foster care, helping them build confidence and community by getting them active in events like Spartan races — powered by Dealers of Hope USA and Teddy Bear Crawl Foundation.

In Tanzania, we’re meeting the same need in a locally relevant way: funding school access and sponsorships, building a new village school, and delivering mental health & wellness workshops through Dealers of Hope Tanzania.

How it works

This is a team / peer-to-peer campaign. Each climber has a personal page and a suggested goal of $1,000+. All donations are tax-deductible through Dealers of Hope USA (501c3) and support youth mental wellness across the U.S. and Tanzania.

Where impact is felt

• United States (60%) – foster-youth empowerment, suicide-prevention & community wellness
• Tanzania (40%) – student sponsorships, school build, and youth mental-wellness programming

Built-in local impact: In addition, Winrica Adventures donates 10% of every Teddy Bear Crawl booking directly to Dealers of Hope Tanzania, ensuring long-term support on the ground.

Key dates

• Deposit due: March 6, 2026 (limited to 100 spots)
• Final balance due: August 6, 2026
• Arrival in Moshi: Sept 5, 2026 by 2:00 PM (mandatory guide briefing & gear check)
• Summit: Sept 11, 2026 | Departure: Sept 13, 2026
