After printing just 12 issues, the Chronicle was named the 2009 Clintonville Area Chamber of Commerce’s New Business of the Year. It earned the award again in 2010. These honors are a testament to the essential service we provide residents of Clintonville, Embarrass and Bear Creek.

I don't have to tell you that the COVID-19 pandemic has upended all of our lives. It has impaired local businesses, many of which have been forced to close or scale back. This distress also has brought down local advertising, which our newspaper relies on to underwrite the cost of providing top-notch, reliable local journalism.

The Wisconsin Newspaper Association Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that works to support local newspapers and the communities they serve, created the Wisconsin Community News Fund to help ensure Wisconsin’s newspapers can continue fulfilling their critical mission of providing consistent, fact-based information to the public. The initiative allows newspapers to solicit tax-deductible donations from their community to support critical reporting on public affairs and current events.
