The Close the gap is a new Invisible Warriors campaign dedicated to funding the development of an early detection tool for congenital heart defects — one built to catch what standard screening still misses.

Every year, thousands of babies leave the hospital with an undiagnosed heart defect. Some of those defects are complex enough to be fatal without warning. That’s what happened with Amelia. Her heart condition went undetected through pregnancy and for nearly the first year of her life.

This campaign isn’t about mandates — we believe in every parent’s right to choose. It’s about making sure a highly accurate option exists and is offered to every family, every time, before they take their baby home.

Funds raised go directly toward research and development of this detection technology, with the goal of it becoming available and accessible nationwide.
