The Children’s Museum of Pooler’s Great Pumpkin Carve-Off is a community pumpkin-carving competition that supports hands-on learning for children. Featured Community Carvers invite friends, family, and neighbors to vote for them. Every $1 donated equals one vote.

Donations also give carvers an edge: For every $10 donated, a carver earns one extra minute of carving time, up to 30 extra minutes. Carvers who raise $500 before October 17 can choose a carving buddy to help them.

Come cheer on the carvers on Saturday, October 17, from 5–7 p.m. at the West Chatham YMCA during its Trunk-or-Treat celebration. Voting runs from October 1–30, and Pumpkin Royalty will be announced on Halloween.

Funds raised will help maintain and improve museum exhibits, purchase new learning materials, and support educational programs that inspire children to learn through play.

More about CMOP:

The Children’s Museum of Pooler was founded from a simple belief: children and families deserve a place in their own community where they can learn, play, discover, and connect.

With the help of community leaders, museum professionals, local fabricators, volunteers, and supporters, that vision became a reality. In 2020, the Children’s Museum of Pooler opened its doors.

Since then, the Museum has grown into a regional educational and family destination, welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors from Pooler and surrounding communities.

Today, children learn by doing throughout our interactive exhibits and programs. They build, create, imagine, experiment, problem-solve, read, and explore. The Museum also provides standards-based field trips, educational programming, camps, literacy and STEM experiences, sensory-friendly opportunities, community outreach, and partnerships that help connect children and families.

Our mission remains at the heart of everything we do: to provide hands-on learning opportunities and joyful discoveries for children and the community through engaging exhibits and programming.

As a nonprofit organization, the Children’s Museum of Pooler relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses, and community partners to help us continue growing our impact.

When you support the Children’s Museum of Pooler, you help create more opportunities for children to learn, families to connect, and our community to grow stronger together.
