This year, because of the generosity of our community, we celebrated a milestone we've dreamed about for years.

For the first time, the Berkeley Athletic Fund awarded 12 Senior Student-Athlete Scholarships to graduating Yellowjackets whose leadership, resilience, character, and commitment exemplify the very best of Berkeley High.

Watching those students walk across the stage, surrounded by teammates, coaches, and families, was a powerful reminder of why we do this work.

But there was another moment that stood out just as much.

Coach after coach stood beside their athletes as they received their scholarships. These are the same coaches who spend countless hours before school, after work, on weekends, and during the summer investing in our students. They mentor. They encourage. They build confidence. They teach resilience. They change lives.

And yet, despite everything they give, their stipends have not even kept pace with inflation.

So we're asking our community to help us invest in the people who make Berkeley Athletics extraordinary.

Our goals are simple:

🏅 Close the remaining gap in coach stipends, helping ensure we can recruit and retain the exceptional coaches who shape our student-athletes every day.

🎓 Sustain our new Senior Scholarship program, so every graduating class has the opportunity to be recognized for excellence in athletics, academics, leadership, perseverance, and character.
