Walking Alongside You

There is a particular kind of honor that comes with being invited into someone else's community. When a church, a ministry, or an organization asks Wonder Aloud to facilitate a day retreat, host a sacred group listening session, lead a workshop, or simply partner in the work of caring for people's souls, we do not take that trust lightly.

We know what it costs a leader to say, "come and hold space with my people." It means stepping back from the doing, if only for a few hours, and trusting someone else to help tend what is sacred. We are grateful, again and again, for every team and community who has opened that door to us.

Our Mission

Wonder Aloud is a small NYC based non profit that walks alongside individuals and groups in their journey toward spiritual wholeness through Christ centered contemplative care. We believe wonder, that compassionate curiosity and awe modeled in Jesus' own relationships and interactions, is essential to a living faith. So we hold spaces, in the city and beyond it, where that wonder has room to surface again.

What We Carry Into Every Partnership

DISCOVERY: We come curious, not with a script to perform on your community, but with real questions about what your team needs to notice about God and about each other.

HOSPITALITY: We aim to make room, physically and spiritually, so people can set something down and simply be received.

PRESENCE: We slow down. Contemplative care cannot be rushed, and neither can the people we serve alongside.

CELEBRATION: We believe rest and delight are part of formation too, not a break from it.
