We are individuals with autism or apraxia who found our way to spelling and typing - often for the first time in our lives. We can tell our families we love them. We can tell our doctors where it hurts. We can share who we really are with the people around us. Our lives have been transformed.

We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for the same rights every human being deserves - the right to be heard, to be known, and to participate fully in our own lives.

Spellers Freedom Foundation and Communication 4 All have joined forces because we all believe that communication is a human right - and that together, with your help, we can protect it for every nonspeaking individual in America.
