We are living in a moment where cruelty and carelessness are being weaponized against the public infrastructure we all rely on to meet our needs. The goal of these anti-democratic forces is to overwhelm and starve the country into compliance. Our communities are at risk of being deprived of the resources that will be needed to mount a defense to more direct attacks to our safety and freedom that are surely on the horizon. As we face these conditions it becomes more important than ever that we find ways to not only support each other but do so in ways that build community power. This is why the WildSeed Society is partnering with out fiscal sponsoree the Womanist Working Collective to expand our existing community support systems.

The Womanist Working Collective [WWC] is a radical grassroots social action and support collective for Black folks of marginalized gender experience, specifically women (trans* and cis), femmes, and other gender expansive folx based in Philadelphia, PA . Their community of practice unapologetically centers their quality of life and livelihoods through community organizing, mutual aid and holistic wellness. WWC offers time-banking, mutual aid, and a free therapy fund to their community. In the fall of 2025, they hope to expand this work by piloting a guaranteed income program for Black women, femmes, and gender expansive people who are organizers, caregivers and/or caregivers who organize.

Similarly, the WildSeed Society has spent the first half of 2025 expanding our Revolutionary Aftercare program. Rev Aftercare offers wrap around support to movement organizers on the frontline who are experiencing crisis as a result of their activism. These services include wellness plans, trauma first aid, spiritual support, direct cash assistance, therapeutic referral and plan breaks for rest and recovery. This work is crucial to making our movements more sustainable. Yet supporting organizers already in crises is time and resource intensive. It would be far better to prevent crises in the first place. That's why are seeking to raise money to expand our movement support to include wellness grants for organizers before they are in crisis to help increase the capacity of our frontline movement stewards.

Together we are hoping to raise $35,000 to expand our community care networks. That money will go to:

$10,800 for the direct payments to families
$7,000 to support staff time in running the program including supporting the families and evaluating the program
$15,000 in wellness support for frontline organizers
$2.200 to support staff time running the wellness grant program

Any money raised in addition to the $35,000 goal will go to support the operation of the WildSeed Society and expanding our community care programing.
