The Contingency Plan is so special to me because I have lost 5 close and best friends in the past 7 years to domestic violence. If something like this had been readily available to them, they might still be here with us today. These ladies losing their lives makes the Purple Velvet Rope Walk 2023 that much more special to me. Not only am I walking for my best friends, but also all the women in the world who are going through domestic violence. I will be their voice! Silence stops today...

I'm from Cleveland, Ohio and I'm sure domestic violence is widespread all over the US, but worse in some cities. I can't say I've ever dealt with domestic violence in my relationships, but I have family members and friends who have and still going through them. My heart goes out to them because they deserve so much more and if they ever get out will they ever trust another man again?I have been to the site and read some stories and these type of things really saddens me to know women have went through this type of abuse. I see a lot of comments about a Dell Mitchell and I'm guessing he is the one running the program. He's obviously a man and I'm a little speechless. We can be judgmental sometimes and its normal because we are human, but a man running an organization like this that cares deeply for women, children and their well-being is not something you see everyday. I also see more women giving and I think I may have seen one or two men give on here. If people pass this opportunity up to me they're not human. This is REAL in all communities worldwide. Give something today to help this organization. I talked to my husband last night about this organization and it seems like you guys been around since 2010 serving the homeless community. So I see you have history and not just a company that started yesterday. So on behalf of myself and my husband we've agreed to donate on a recurring basis of $1,000 a month for at least the first year for this contingency program and we will commit to donating $100 a month on the building of the facility for the first year as well. As far as the walk is concerned we're going to make several donations there and also encourage our family and friends to do the same. God has blessed us over the years and we want to spread that love out and donate to ministries that's really out here making a difference that's not on television even though you should be with an awesome program like this. You have our support visible hope!
