In a world that needs bridges more than barriers, conversation matters. The NYOTA Leadership Program creates space for conversation and more.

Congolese women leaders from different organizations, generations, and ethnic backgrounds meet weekly to learn from one another.

They build relationships across divides that too often separate communities. They listen with open hearts and challenge one another to lead with courage. They are making an impact in their communities and changing lives.

NYOTA graduates are—

Building businesses and creating jobs.
Counseling trauma survivors.
Protecting children from violence.
Making legal counsel available to vulnerable women.

And graduates continue to develop their skills. A mentoring program connects fifteen graduates with mentors across four countries. Twelve other graduates have begun taking English classes, as many work in organizations with other international collaborations.

What's more, a new cohort begins February 2026. Already ten women have applied.

Women in the 2026 cohort will join a conversation that extends beyond their weekly sessions. They will add their voice to a growing network of female leaders who continue to learn from, challenge, and support one another and carry their conversations into their communities where dialogue becomes the foundation for thriving societies.
