Something new is being built in Contra Costa County.

The Nest is a future birth and family wellness center designed to expand care options for parents while strengthening the network of professionals who support them. It will bring together doulas, midwives, educators, yoga, bodywork, mental health, and community support under one collaborative roof — because when parents are supported, outcomes improve for everyone.

This fundraiser invites you to help build that vision from the ground up.

Why This Matters

Research is clear: consistent, compassionate support during pregnancy and postpartum improves physical health outcomes, reduces unnecessary interventions, and protects mental health for parents and babies.

And yet, access to that support is uneven — especially for families navigating financial stress, trauma, or major life transitions.

The Nest is being created to:

Expand access to holistic, family-centered care
Reduce isolation during pregnancy and early parenthood
Support survivors of domestic violence with trauma-informed services
Sustain the perinatal professionals who care for our community
