Here are all the details you need for the big day:

EVENT DETAILS

Event: Swap the Book, Spark the Conversation! A Cookbook Exchange & Community Gathering

Date: Sunday, September 27th

Time: 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM (Cookbook swap begins promptly at 1:30 PM)

Location: Belching Beaver Brewery (Oceanside, CA)

Food & Drink: Delicious food will be available for purchase from Ohana Street Bites, alongside Belching Beaver's great beer lineup!

WHAT TO BRING & HOW IT WORKS

• The Book: Bring a cookbook to exchange! It can be a used favorite, a brand-new find, a hidden treasure you thrifted, or a duplicate from your shelves. Just make sure it's in good, readable condition and ready for a new home.

• A Personal Touch: We encourage you to slip a special note, tip, or card inside the book for its new owner. Share why you love it, highlight your favorite recipe, or tuck a recipe card right into that section!

• The Swap: When you arrive at 12:30 PM, you'll check in and receive a number. At 1:30 PM, the swap officially kicks off, and you'll be paired up with the guest holding your matching number to exchange books and chat food!

SPECIAL GUEST

We are thrilled to be joined virtually by acclaimed cookbook author Alana Kysar! She'll be gracing us with her presence to talk about her newest book and the vital importance of carrying on the food traditions of the Pacific Islands. Plus, one lucky guest will walk away with a copy of her book!
