Count Her In: Because Every Girl Counts.

Every girl deserves to walk into a math classroom believing she belongs there.

But for too many Black girls, that confidence is challenged long before they have the opportunity to discover what they're capable of. Stereotypes, limited representation, and unequal access to enriching math experiences can shape how girls see themselves and what they believe is possible for their futures.

At Black Girls Love Math (BGLM), we're changing that equation.

Through culturally affirming math instruction, hands-on learning, mentorship, and meaningful exposure to STEM careers, we help Black girls build more than math skills. We help them build confidence, community, and a lasting belief in their own potential.

This giving season, we're asking you to Count Her In.

When Girls Believe in Themselves, Possibilities Multiply.

Since 2020, BGLM has been creating spaces where Black girls are celebrated as mathematicians, encouraged to take risks, and supported as they grow.

And we're seeing what happens when girls have the opportunity to experience math differently.

In a recent program evaluation, the percentage of participating girls who viewed themselves positively as mathematicians increased from 63% to 87.5%.

That's more than a change in perception. It's a powerful reminder of what's possible when girls are given the encouragement, representation, and opportunities they deserve.

Because a girl who believes she's good at math is a girl who may be more willing to raise her hand, tackle a challenging problem, explore a STEM opportunity, or imagine a future she hadn't previously considered.

Help Us Count More Girls In.

As BGLM looks toward 2027, we're working to bring our programming to more girls and communities while deepening the experiences that make our model so impactful.

Your year-end gift helps make it possible to:

Expand access to math enrichment: Bring engaging, culturally affirming math experiences to more girls through school and community-based programming.
Build confidence and belonging: Create supportive environments where girls can take risks, solve problems, and see themselves as capable mathematicians.
Connect math to real-world possibilities: Introduce girls to hands-on STEM experiences, mentors, and women who reflect what's possible for their futures.
Sustain meaningful opportunities: Provide the instructors, materials, and consistent programming that help girls develop their skills and confidence over time.

Every Girl Counts. Every Gift Matters.

When you support Black Girls Love Math, you're investing in more than an afterschool program.

You're helping a girl discover that she belongs in math. That her ideas matter. That she is capable of solving difficult problems. And that her future is filled with possibilities.

This year, don't let her count herself out.
