Come paint with us!

On Saturday, November 7, Flint Hills Summer Fun Camp is hosting a free watercolor craft afternoon for kids, and your family is invited.

Kids will paint a holiday card to give to someone they love. Paint a blank card or choose one with a template, add the colors, and take it home. It’s easy to join in, and no painting experience is needed.

Every child is welcome. We built this afternoon for kids of all abilities, and for their brothers, sisters and friends too. We’ll have simple shapes to trace, picture steps to follow, easy-grip brushes and a quieter table for anyone who’d like a calmer spot.

Come when you can, stay as long as you like. There’s no schedule to keep up with. Drop in anytime between 2 and 4.

Add a thank-you to our gratitude tree. While you’re here, write down something you’re thankful for and hang it on our community gratitude tree.

Please sign up. All the supplies are on us, and signing up lets us plan the right amount of paper, paint and helping hands. It takes less than a minute.

Flint Hills Summer Fun Camp has welcomed children with autism and other disabilities, alongside their peers, since 2010. We’d love for you to meet us.

If you’d like to chip in, a suggested donation of $10 per family helps us run camp next summer. It’s completely optional, and every child is welcome either way.
