STORY

C.R.E.A.T.E. (Community Resource Education And Training Enterprises) is a brand-new Twin Cities nonprofit — just weeks old!!! — and we're building something our community has been asking for.

OUR MISSION

C.R.E.A.T.E. exists to strengthen the physical, mental, and social health of youth, veterans, and underserved communities by connecting them to peer support, essential resources, mentorship, education, and pathways to meaningful careers.

WHO WE SERVE

Young people across Minneapolis, Saint Paul and the metro who need support — every background, every neighborhood, every story, everyone welcome — along with veterans and the families around them. Veterans don't just receive support here; they serve as mentors, passing on leadership and discipline to the next generation.

WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW

• Winter Warmth Drive (Nov 1–30): collecting kids' coats, boots, hats, gloves and blankets with partners B.A.B.Y. and Project Refocus, ending in a free "shop-style" giveaway on Dec 5 where families choose what fits.

• Building our volunteer and mentor team.

• Planning our first weekly youth programs, starting with self-defense and mentorship.

WHERE WE'RE HEADED

Our work is built on six pillars, one for each letter of our name:

Community Connection

Restorative Health & Justice

Education & Enrichment

Apprenticeship & Career Access

Teamwork & Mentorship

Exchange: History & Heritage

That means after-school programs, hands-on trades and culinary training, a veteran mentor corps, scholarships, and a Summer 2027 community series across Minneapolis and Saint Paul.

WHY WE NEED YOU

Right now, C.R.E.A.T.E. runs on volunteers and our founder's own funds.

Your gift helps us:

• Cover start-up costs: insurance, supplies, and program materials

• Bring on our first staff to run programs consistently

• Find a home base — an office and program space where youth, families and mentors can gather

Every dollar goes toward getting programs off the ground and into the community. C.R.E.A.T.E. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 42-5108525). Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
