Creating Community Solutions: A Path to Long Term Stability

Introduction: Every day, countless individuals face the harsh realities of homelessness, struggling to find safe shelter and a pathway to stability. Our organization is committed to transforming lives and communities through our dedicated programs aimed at providing immediate relief and long-term solutions. This fundraising campaign, focuses on two vital strategic goals: maintaining and expanding our Code Blue Shelter Services and launching our Transitional to Permanent Housing Program. Together, we can create a lasting impact in our community.

Overcoming Challenges in Our Expansion Efforts

Our Code Blue program has provided 2036 shelter beds and served 268 unique clients during our 2024-2025 & 2025-2026 fiscal years alone. This service allowed us to connect some of our clients to benefits and support services they were previously unable to access, and others to better jobs and permanent housing. While we have successfully served hundreds of individuals, the loss of the Church on the Mall and St John's as shelter and storage space, combined with limited funding, present another road block in reaching our goals. To address this, we have launched a targeted fundraising initiative to enhance our reach and efficiency.

Our Vision for Enhanced Service

Goal 1: New Location & Expanded Code Blue Shelter - Annual Budget $150,000

Our first goal is to secure a new facility that will serve as a central hub for our operations, storage, and an expanded shelter, with dedicated spaces for adult men, adult women, and eventually families. In addition, we will enhance shelter operations by introducing case management services to provide guests with personalized support and pathways to stable housing and employment.

Goal 2: Transitional to Permanent Housing Program - Annual Budget $200,000

Our second goal is to help individuals transition from temporary to permanent housing through comprehensive case management and an innovative work-for-housing program. Clients will receive personalized support to navigate housing, employment, and other challenges while building the skills needed for long-term independence. Through the work-for-housing program, participants can contribute through building maintenance and other tasks in exchange for rent assistance, creating a structured environment that promotes stability, accountability, employment readiness, and stronger community connections.

This dual approach not only addresses housing insecurity but empowers clients to regain their confidence, independence, and build sustainable futures. Your support will help us break the cycle of homelessness and promote self-sufficiency.
