Creating Classics Foundation Inc. (EIN: 39-4266098) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting the next generation of songwriters, music producers, engineers, and creators behind the music through education, opportunity and creative development.

Founded in 2020 by musician and songwriter Imani Hopkins, Creating Classics began as a songwriting camp and creative space designed to connect and uplift the creators behind the music. What started as a songwriting camp and community for music creators has grown into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit (est. 2025). Today, it continues to provide access, education, and opportunity for underrepresented creators in music and entertainment.

🎤 Our Impact So Far:
Since our founding, we’ve:

Hosted a virtual Songwriting Camp in 2021 connecting creators nationwide.
Curated a BET Weekend experience in June 2024 that offered creatives exclusive access to industry events, the BET Awards, and a sponsored writing studio session presented by Creating Classics.
Launched an industry networking event and panel at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) headquarters in June 2025, highlighting producers, songwriters, and music entrepreneurs while celebrating the official relaunch of Creating Classics.
Selected to present an Audio Engineering Workshop at Howard University’s Hip Hop Studies Conference this November, expanding hands-on learning opportunities for emerging music creators.
