As the Cincinnati String Project celebrates 10 years of teaching and performing, we’re celebrating our achievements, and continuing to grow!

EDUCATION

This year we've provided over 1,000 hours of free private lessons and chamber music instruction to our 55 students in Norwood and Winton Woods. Next year, we will reach more than 65 students each week!

Several of our graduating seniors are pursuing music in college, with performance majors on scholarship at schools including CCM and Ohio State. Others are minoring in music, and pursuing fields including Neuroscience, Nursing, and Social Work, at schools including Miami (OH) and Xavier!

YOUR SUPPORT removes financial barriers for our students, ensuring that we can give them the tools they need to succeed, building their self-esteem, leadership and collaborative skills.

PERFORMANCE

This past season, the CSP performed quartets by Beethoven, Bartok, Mozart and Dvorak, and gave the world premiere of our own Mable Lecrone’s “Cities”! Next season, we will double the number of concerts we give, playing quartets by Haydn, Schubert, and Brahms, collaborate with guest violist Brian Hong and baritone Ethan Neal, and close out the season with another premiere from Mable!

As we move into our second decade, we continue to deepen our connection to the communities we serve, and ensure that we will be part of the Cincinnati community for the long term.

We want to serve even more students in the years to come, while providing sustainable full-time employment for our member teachers, and we need your help to do that! Our goal for this campaign is to bring in $40,000 in new individual donations between now and June 2027, and thanks to a matching grant from some of our generous supporters, your impact will be doubled!
